Dear Beloved Community,

In a world where stories ignite change, we are blessed to share tales that touch the soul and inspire action. This year, God has graced us with narratives of courage and transformation that strengthen our mission and fill our hearts with gratitude.

Clara – A Global Call to Courage
Meet Clara, a beacon of hope and determination. As the daughter of a Romanian doctor with dreams of establishing a Lifestyle Medicine Center in France, Clara felt a divine call. With unwavering faith, she left behind a life of comfort in France to join our school and train as a medical nurse. Her journey is a testament to the power of dreams and the sacrifices that illuminate the path to a brighter tomorrow.

Gabriel – Embracing New Beginnings
Gabriel’s story is one of resilience and renewal. After facing life’s hurdles as a courier driver, he accepted God’s challenge to prepare for a life of service in health centers. Though the road was tough, Gabriel’s heart is now filled with gratitude for the opportunities that have led him to become a devoted medical assistant, ready to make a difference in the world.

A Community Bound by Service
This year, our halls echo with the laughter and dedication of a special group of students. Each one, with their unique background and calling, contributes to a tapestry of change. Their days are filled with practical sessions at the Herghelia Health Center, hospital placements, and enthusiastic participation in health exhibitions. Our mobile hospital, “Din Grija Pentru Tine” (Caring for You), stands as a testament to their volunteer spirit and unwavering commitment to serve others.

Shaping Global Healthcare Leaders
At Scoala Postliceala Sanitara “Vasile Dan” Herghelia, we are more than educators; we are architects of change. We mold general medical assistants ready to serve across Europe, but our passion lies in preparing professionals for Lifestyle Medicine Centers—a burgeoning field in Romania and beyond.
Our curriculum transcends traditional nursing, offering intensive training in massage, hydrotherapy, and specialized treatments at our Herghelia Health Centers. Partnering with the Romanian Lifestyle Medicine Society, we empower our students with prevention counseling and lifestyle coaching skills—vital tools in combating lifestyle-related diseases.
In January, under the guidance of Katia Reinert, our students mastered the art of lifestyle coaching. This invaluable training equips them to make profound impacts on public health, one patient at a time.

Introducing Brain TRyve by 25
This spring, we are thrilled to unveil Brain TRyve by 25, a program dedicated to the mental well-being of young people. Designed to educate teenagers and young adults about mental health, brain care, and the avoidance of harmful habits, this initiative aims to foster healthy futures. Through social media, we will amplify this critical message, supporting parents in their journey to nurture thriving children.

With Heartfelt Gratitude
Your unwavering support is the cornerstone of our mission. Each life transformed and every act of service by our students reaffirms our shared purpose and fills us with hope. Together, we are not just changing lives; we are building a healthier, more compassionate world.

With deepest thanks,
Daniel Seniuc

In 2014, a few months before the passing of Vasile Dan (Nick’s father), he imparted his firm belief that God’s vision for Sanitariums and medical missionary work remains unchanged – to establish these institutions around the globe, situating one near each major city.

It was 2001 when I got a chance to visit Herghelia for the first time. I came here to present the program of Sola Scriptura’s Institute of Bible Studies, for the blind. At that time as a young couple – my husband and I were involved in this project as volunteers. We always believed in mission and found ways to get involved.

As a therapist in Herghelia I am delighted to meet people of different professional backgrounds, different social status, different personalities, different beliefs and spiritual orientations. One of my patients in a spring session was Mrs. F.H, a very delicate, special lady, that used to be an university professor in theatrical art and piano. She just got retired and had difficulties in handling the new amount of free time in her life…

One day as I was walking from the Center to my office, during the lunch break, I was about to pass by a nice elderly couple that seemed to start earlier their daily afternoon walk. We greeted each other and as we were heading in the same direction and they seemed delighted to socialize, I joined them. The lady shared the fact that this is the first time for them in Herghelia and that she is totally amazed of what is happening here. She mentioned that it was her husband’s idea to come but she congratulates herself for being open to it.

Missis L. C was very eager to introduce to me her sister S – who was accompanying her to Herghelia for the first time. When my presentation was over, the two ladies enthusiastically approached me and we happily chat together for a while. She brought me greetings from another sweet lady, a good friend of hers with whom she came to Herghelia the previous time, when we actually first met.

Coming back to Herghelia for audit this year I got the chance to meet again in the session old friends and also to make the new ones. Soon a good size study group was formed. Isaiah, my Pentecostal friend I met in Herghelia previously, was back this time and proposed to people interested in spiritual topics to join us, in our attempt to find answers to bible’s prophesies. So we decided to meet each evening at 9 p.m. in the library. We prayed together and study the Bible.

Please pray for and support the Sanitarium Global Movement. We claim the following precious promise that the Lord will inspire, lead and protect each particular project started according with His plans: “The Lord has presented matters to me again and again, and given me instructions to say that God Himself is Ruler and Counselor and Guardian of every Sanitarium that shall be established”. Ellen G. White Letter 180, 1901

We want to establish a Worthy Students Fund to help prospective future Sanitarium leaders attend the annual “How to start and manage Sanitariums in the XXI Century” and cover part of the funds related to the production of a Loma Linda University Certificate online course in this field. We are working with LLU to produce such a course to be available to the SDA Church at large.

HERGHELIA – THE MOST URGENT NEEDS

  • Worthy student fund for “How to start and manage Sanitariums in the XXI Century” – $5000
  • Certificate online course on “How to start and manage Sanitariums in the XXI Century” – $2000
  • Medical Missionary Nursing School – Reframing the Medical Missionary Training Program – $25,000

We are getting close to final accreditation and adding an English program.

  • Extension of the Lifestyle Center – $1,000,000

Right now we are working with an architect to fine tune the architectural draft.
